The measure of a man
Tonight, my family and I visited with an elderly man, in his early nineties, who is in the hospital. His condition is stable which I am very thankful for. As we sat and talked he began to share a number of stories from his childhood. He told us stories about trapping rabbits and selling them to the local market for 20 cents each. That was how he made his money as a teen.
Become, ye, like little children
Today I was taught a very important lesson by a conversation that occurred with my daughter. I had told her that we were simplifying our lives and therefore going to get rid of the computer tower in the spare bedroom. This computer has been the computer that she loves to play store on and she even has a touch screen monitor with a Point of Sale program that she is able to play like she is working in a restaurant.
