Sabbath Salutations 07232010

3-2-1…Blast-off!!! This weekend is the Wisconsin rocket launch and my family and I made our way to my brother and sister-in-laws’ house on Thursday. On the drive into area around Sussex the rain was pouring down which made driving more “interesting” to say the least, but God blessed our trip and we did arrive safely.

News reports showed that there was flooding and tornadoes across the area. Scenes of cars stranded with water up to the door handles were being highlighted on TV. Even my brother’s basement suffered some leaking from the excessive down-pouring. A shop vac and a late night brought things closer to the drier side.

But, we are certainly looking forward to meeting many, and catching up with old acquaintances, in the congregations around the Wisconsin area at services tomorrow. We are also looking forward very much to the Rocket Launch and picnic on Sunday as well.
