Conference week!
We’re on our way to Charlotte and after a rainy drive to the Kansas City Airport (not to mention missing a couple critical turns and losing a couple minutes ) we have made it to the terminal. My wife and I are looking forward our first ministerial conference at Headquarters. There is also a fringe benefit to the conference – the opportunity to see my brother and his wife who are flying in from Wisconsin. But we are so much looking forward to learning, meeting new friends, and taking part in all that we can. It is a real privilege
Sabbath evening
I hope you’ve had a productive week. We’ve been trying to get the little things done to the house that have been crying out for attention throughout the winter and it is all coming together nicely. After a busy week, could there be anything better than the blessing of the Sabbath! Tomorrow my family and I will be in Des Moines, IA spending the Sabbath with the brethren up there so we are really looking forward to that. For that we are very thankful. With the weather becoming more spring-like, the to-do list has grown, much like the grass. Today my wife and I will tackle the mowing together. She knows it is not high on my “favorite things” list, and I appreciate her offering to share the load. Reminds me not only of how valuable a loving and helpful wife is (“far
Do…re…me!
In an effort to go from howling hound dog to Placido Domingo (I have high hopes, but maybe not that high) I have taken up singing and voice lessons. My mom, who by the way is fully qualified having played hymns in church services for many years, has the difficult task of teaching me to actually hit musical notes while singing – a daunting and ear numbing task to say the least, but I am determined . Your prayers are appreciated…for mom that is. By the way, I encourage each of you to try something new…something that stretches your abilities
