Mark Twain will live again

Today marks the 100th anniversary of Mark Twain’s death, April 21, 1910. He was 74 when he passed. A man wracked with failing health and a heavy smoking addiction, Twain lived his life in a manner that is common among those who are without the knowledge of God’s truth and way of life. He did what was right in his own eyes. That being said, he did contribute to the world of literature, and with impressive drive and diligence examining the stature and reknown he enjoyed during his life, not to mention that which his memory still enjoys, through his

Seasonal effectiveness?

This has been a great day. I almost feel bad about how much more joy I experience when the weather turns warm and sunny! I’m like a grizzly bear coming out of a long hibernation. I seem jubilant and more industrious. I’m sure others must feel this way too. What do those in tropical regions do? Wonderful warm weather without end. They must just be high achievers and exuding joy year ’round I suppose. Anyway, I’m soakin’ it up and I hope you are too. Have a great week!

Services cancelled…but don’t despair!

Services in Kansas City, St. Joseph, and Wichita (…maybe others that I am not privy to as well) have been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Snowy siege-mound

In the last couple days we’ve experienced some pretty heavy storms which have settled large quantities of snow on our lawn and driveway. The lawn I haven’t been too worried about, but wow…between the naturally occurring quantity of snow falling from the sky (which is not annoying) and the mountainous volume of snow which has been pushed onto my driveway by the snow-plow trucks (which is annoying), the result has been a veritable siege-mound being created at the front driveway entrance to our house.
